As a washing standard, we combine water with a 1.25% mixture of sodium hypochlorite (pool chlorine), a surfactant to help the treatment effectiveness and a product called Glass Glide which provides a window clean as well. I’ve found that this mixture removes all organic growth.
Non-organics, such well water stains, soot and black streaks from roofing, can be removed using specialized detergents. Please let us know if interested or if you’re not sure if this service is needed in your case.
We refer to ourselves as pressure washers, but pressure is rarely used for cleaning purposes. In fact, it can be detrimental to most surfaces. The safest approach is to apply this detergent mix, let it sit for a brief period, and then rinse with fresh water. Concrete is the main exception, and even then, we utilize detergents.
This process effectively eliminates unsightly and harmful algae buildup. For a structural wash, this includes all soffits, eaves, exterior gutters, siding, doors, windows, porches (including screened-in) and balconies. Mud dauber nests, spider eggs/webs, and wasp nests will also be removed.
Surrounding plants and grass are adequately watered before, during and after treatment to avoid potential discoloration from the detergent treatment.
